- Look at the book with your child.
- Follow the sensory trails on each page.
- Talk about the features of each minibeast. Can you find their antennae? Where are their legs? Their wings? Use the magnifier to take a closer look.
- Say to your child that this is an information book. We use them to find out things we may not know.
- Can you flap your wings like a butterfly?
- Can you buzz like a bee?
Beyond Minibeasts
- Together, go on a minibeast hunt in your local area or garden. You can use the magnifier to take a closer look.
- Together, count how many minibeasts you found
