• Look at the book with your child.
• What can you find out about in this book?
• Say to your child that this is an information book. We use them to find out things we may not know.
• Can you see the page numbers?
• Talk together about your favourite page.

Beyond Let’s Look at Dandelions

• Together, look on page 10, there is a dandelion flower – what colour is it?
• Together, talk about what helps the seed to grow.
• Can you find a dandelion outside?
• Together look at page 8 at the dandelion leaves. Can you see how spikey they are?
• When the flower is over it turns into seeds. You can blow the seeds and count how many puffs it takes before they’ve all gone. Together, using the feather in your pack, count how many puffs it takes to blow the feather away.
